What’s an individual lease?

An individual lease means you are only responsible for your portion of rent. Although you may have roommates that share the common areas of your apartment, you are not financially responsible for them and their names are not on your lease.

Do I need someone to co-sign my lease?

Only the person living in the unit needs to sign the lease; however, if you don’t meet certain qualifications on the credit portion of the application, you will need a guarantor to sign a Guaranty Form.

What’s a guarantor?

A guarantor is someone who is financially stable and who guarantees timely payment on your lease. We require a guarantor only when the person living in the unit is unable to meet the application’s credit qualifications.

How much is rent?

Rent varies depending on the size of the unit and floor preference. Please Contact our leasing office to learn more about pricing before units sell out.

What’s included in the rent?

The rent includes internet, cable with Big 10 Network channels, trash, sewer and water. We also provide electricity which is billed back to each resident individually so you can avoid the headache of collecting money from your roommates.

Is there an application fee or security deposit?

There is a $50 application fee which covers a background check on the resident and credit check on the guarantor. We also require a redecoration fee. Contact our leasing office to learn more about pricing and deposits.

Does furniture come with my apartment?

Yes, and it’s not your standard starter furniture! Your apartment will come elegantly styled with pieces that are modern yet functional, and sophisticated with a contemporary twist.

What kind of security measure does Uncommon provide?

Your safety is a primary concern, and we provide high-level security features for your peace of mind. Security features include 24 hour on-site staff and emergency maintenance, surveillance cameras in all public access areas, and electric key-controlled community, building, and apartment access.

Am I allowed to have guests?

Of course! Download our smartphone app and you’ll be able to validate approved guests with ease.

Who has access to Uncommon amenities?

We go to great lengths to make sure only you and your guests are using our amenities.

What if I have a maintenance request?

Our on-site maintenance team is dedicated to resolving any maintenance issues quickly and conveniently.

Do you allow pets?

Absolutely! Contact the leasing office to learn how to register your pet.

Do you offer roommate matching?

Yes! If you don’t have roommates in mind (or enough to fill the units in the apartment of your choice) but want to reserve your spot to live at Uncommon Columbus before it’s too late, we’ve got you covered. We offer a roommate matching program that gives you the opportunity to choose someone with common interests that you might like to live with.

Is there parking?

Absolutely. Uncommon offers single spaces in our secure underground garage. Spaces are leased on a first come, first served basis, so Contact our leasing office for availability and pricing.
